THE GIVER NOVEL

Sometime in the future, an 11-year-old boy named Jonas lives in a seemingly perfect community in which there is little pain and little crime. People are polite. Everyone belongs to a supportive family. But this harmony comes at a price. There is also no choice, and real emotions are non-existent. Life is dictated by strict rules. A committee of elders matches spouses and assigns them children born from women whose only job is to give birth. The committee names all babies and chooses every person's career. Sex and love are prohibited, being different is shameful, and families are dissolved when the children are grown. Everyone looks similar in skin colour and dress. Everything serves a purely practical purpose to serve the common good of the community and minimize conflict. The old and the sick are "released," which the community believes means sent to live "Elsewhere," outside the community.

When Jonas learns that Gabriel is to be released the next day, he rushes forward with the plan: he takes Gabriel, crosses the river, and flees the community by bicycle. On the road he encounters beautiful things from his memories like rain and birds, but he also encounters hunger and cold. As he is growing weak, and despairs about being able to protect Gabriel, he sees a snow-covered hill from his first memory from The Giver. At the top of the hill, they find a sled and sled down, where they hear music at the bottom of the hill and see coloured lights in the windows of houses in the distance.

MANGO MOODS

1) In my opinion, it is fascinating how the elder word may come time. In this story, it is very interesting how Chitra's grandma havae he ability to predict that Chitra life is going to be suffer and Chitra was destined to live a hard leife along her life. So, Grandma word that she said to Chitra did come true to her life and grandma also have been through many things rather good nor bad. She seems so  confident in saying those word to Chitra. It is also be a reminder to Chitra in getting throughout her life journey.

2) From this 'Mango moods' story, I would love to give my opinion on part of ending of the story. It is very touched and meaningful story I would say. I am very amazed on how Chitra had sufferes and how hard she survive. She is very strong women and she compare her life with mangoes. Chitra had gone through a painful life by her mother-in-law, Narayaniamma. She deserve a better and comfortable life. She could not believe that for the past eight years, her mother-in-law had tortured her with cruel barbs for her barren worb. Suddently after she got pregnant, Narayaniamma being smothered her with love and full attention.

I think they should move to their own house. They should build a strong relationship between themselves. Prasad have to be more responsible husband. They should lives by themselves and n need to have outsiders because it can lead to other problem.

3) Prasad is portrayed as a filial son. Support this claim.

Prasad is potrayed as a filial son. From the story, when Chitra's mother had made a suggestion to adopting a child, Narayaniamma get mad and told she never accept any other child as her grandson. Prasad had just followed what her mum said. Besides, when Chitra been tortured and hated by her mother-in-law, Prasad started to spending more time at office to avoid any altercation. e have to protect his wife and have his own mind. He cannot simply take his mother side and follow every direction given. He need to think what is the best for his family.

THE NECKLACE

1) By the end of this story, I always feel better for Mr.Loisel. He loved his wife at the beginning, stayed with her through those difficult years, and ended up with a wife who was much more content. From his point of view, I'm guessing all the sacrifices were worth it. Do I feel sorry for her? Yes, but only because she used these difficult times to become a better person.

On the other hand, that doesn't mean that what she does later is not a huge sacrifice.  She is making her own life a nightmare because she wants to make good a mistake she made.  This is surely admirable even in a person who has (in the past) been excessively materialistic and shallow.

2)         “The Necklace ” is most famous for its “whip-crack” or “O. Henry” ending. O. Henry, was famous for his twist endings that turned stories on their heads. In “The Necklace,” the surprise ending unhinges the previously implied premise of the story. Until this point, the reader has been able to interpret Mathilde’s ten years of poverty as penance for her stolen night of pleasure at the party and for carelessly losing the borrowed necklace. The ending shatters that illusion, revealing that the ten years of misery were unnecessary and could have been avoided if only Mathilde had been honest with Madame Forestier. Losing the necklace had seemed to be Mathilde’s fatal mistake, but it was actually Mathilde’s failure to be truthful with Madame Forestier that sealed her fate. This shocking realization sheds new light on the previous events and suggests that Mathilde’s future even though her debts are now repaidwill be none too rosy.

The horrible irony of the fact that the Loisels spent years paying off a replacement for what was actually a worthless necklace is just one instance of irony evident  in “The Necklace.” Also ironic is the fact that Mathilde’s beauty, which had been her only valued asset, disappears as a result of her labour for the necklace. She had borrowed the necklace to be seen as more beautiful and winds up losing her looks completely. Perhaps the most bitter irony of “The Necklace” is that the arduous life that Mathilde must assume after losing the necklace makes her old lifethe one she resented so fullyseem luxurious. She borrows Madame Forestier’s necklace to give the appearance of having more money than she really does, only to then lose what she does have. She pays doubly, with her money and looks, for something that had no value to begin with.3)  The character that I find the most interesting is MathildeLoisel.  Everyone has certain traits that set them apart from others. This is proved to be true with MathildeLoisel a middle class woman who has a supportive husband that pleases her never-ending wishes. This woman grieves over owning little luxuries after hard work her husband is able to get her an invitation to a Ministerial Mansion, a prestigious event, in the beginning she seems satisfied. Her mind quickly changes when she want a new dress which her husband buys. Not satisfied she borrows a necklace from her dear friend, which she later loses and repays. She goes to many hardships due to her traits these involve being finicky, dependent, and self- centered.

Another trait Mathilde owns is being dependent. I beleive she is very dependent on her husband. She always expects him to please her or buy the items she wants. An example of this would be when she loses the necklace he is the one who spends his inheritance
to pay back for her mistakes. Mathilde also depends on him to fix her mistakes , which throughout the story he does so. Because of her actions the story brings hardships to both.

Being self-centered is another trait MathildeLoisel owns. She never thinks about anyone but herself. At the ball when her husband tries to protect her from the cold. She pushes him away because she doesn’t want to look poor due to her shabby cover. Another way she is self-centered is at the beginning of the story she mopes about how miserable she is because she doesn’t live in aluxurious home. Instead of being thankful for what she has she grieves over not being charming, wealthy or power-stricken.

If it weren’t for Mathilde’s actions and traits the moral of the story would have never been learned.  Being dependent, finicky, and self- centered are what made Mathilde an example of living in a sad grieving life.

MY FRIEND LUKE

1) Why I think Like's Personality with people who are close to him differ from the passengers on the bus? . It because Luke  personality just shows people he is close or happy with him only. In that way Luke personality change when he meet a new people or stranger. Anybody will change the personality and not to show own personality to others.

2) In my experience, I had friend that similar with character Luke. Syafiq From class 5 Oracle, the characteristics is same sweetest, shyest person in the world. His name is brittle and ancient . He is rather short and skinny, has a thin mustache and even thinner hair on his head. Since his vision is not perfect, he wears glasses: they are small, round and frame-less. It's all same and he also shy to meet stranger. He also formal guy and hardworking. But he are useless, most of the work was completed and he can not always stay late.

3) To luke:-

I am Muhammad Alif Izzat Bin Mohamad Idris a reader of this story. I want to advise about how you be a better husband, employee and bus passenger.

Dear luke,

You should to be assertive and brave to communicate to everyone with your wife, your son, and your head of job. You should think positively what you should do. If you shy and not to talked to them anybody will apathy about you. And you should take care your family with wisely. Do not leave all the work to your wife. And you should make the second key or spare key to come in.

As to be a good employee you should do the faster way and wisely. It's not about you do overtime work but you does't not finish it. It useless.

And to be a bus passenger you should provide enough money. Don't give the driver bus coin money. And if you sit in the bus don't make the situation like awkward situation, just be a normal guy and not to think about others think. You look weird when you putting your hands in your pockets and sat like a statue.

This is all I want to advise. I hope you managed to make people proud of you and appreciate what you do.
